VICTORIA MEMORIAL HALL 1, QUEEN'S WAY, KOLKATA - 700071 VM invites sealed quotations from Conservation Architects registered with KMC/Government/Semi Government bodies for designing souvenir shop, interpretation centre, etc. and for other fabrication and construction as per details given below. Last date of submission: On or before 3:00 p.m., 19 June 2010 Tender No.V.M. No. 769 /XXIII-24/2010  26 MAY 2010  NOTICE INVITING QUOTATIONS Sealed quotations are invited from Conservation Architects registered with Kolkata Municipal Corporation or other similar Government/Semi Government bodies having experience in designing of interiors / exteriors of museums / heritage buildings for 1. designing of interior and exterior of proposed (a) souvenir shop (b) interpretation centre and security kiosk 2. supervision of the fabrication / construction works at the covered area on both sides of North Porch of VMH building. The quotation including concept design will be received upto 3.00 p.m. on 19th June, 2010 and will be opened on the same day at 3.30 p.m. in presence of quotationers who wish to remain present. The quotation should be dropped in the tender box provided for the purpose in the Administrative Officer's chamber. The scope of work will include: (i) The design to be submitted along with the quotation should be in consonance with the architecture and ambience of the VM building. Marbles / Stones cannot be cut / drilled. The quotationer will require to modify the design as per the suggestion of VMH authority, if necessary. (ii) Submission of detailed estimate, BoQ and other documents necessary for invitation of tender / quotations etc. within 10 days from the date of approval of VMH. (iii) Assisting VMH in analysis of tender papers and selection of executing agency. (iv) Supervision of the job by the architect during execution. (v) Maintaining and supervision of fabrication / construction of the above works and bill certification.  General terms and conditions: (i) The sealed envelope containing the quotations should be superscribed with "Quotation for designing of interior / exterior of proposed souvenir shop etc." and should be addressed to the Secretary & Curator, Victoria Memorial Hall. (ii) The quotationers should submit documents showing their expertise in works of similar nature in a museum / heritage building. They should also submit valid document regarding their registration as Conservation Architects with KMC/other similar bodies. (iii) They should also submit the time schedule for the execution of the work. (iv) The rate should be quoted both in number and words. The schedule of payment should be clearly stated. (v) The decision of VMH regarding acceptance / rejection of any or all quotations without assigning any reason thereof, will be final. VMH will not be bound to accept the lowest quotation. (vi) Quotations submitted by ordinary post / email will not be accepted. VMH will not be responsible for any postal delay. (vii) Intending quotationers are advised to visit VMH to see the site before submitting their quotation.
